J-J AUCOUTURIER
Assistant Professor, Computer Science Temple University, Japan Campus. |
JJ is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Maths and Science Program in Temple University, Japan Campus. He supervised students for the project, as part of the TUJ School of Communications and Theater's "Introduction to Cybermedia" class, in Spring 2009. JJ is an expert in audio technology and artificial intelligence, with a background in the music industry. See more of his work on www.jj-aucouturier.info .

Lindee HOSHIKAWA

Lindee Hoshikawa is a Communications major at Temple University, Japan. Her project investigates the life of Second-Life musician Paul Cohen. As of late, she has found herself occupied by multitudes of video and audio production projects, which all make her very happy. Moe OHTA

Moe Ohta is a Communications Major student at Temple University Japan Campus. Her research topic was about a U2 tribute band in SL. Although U2 is not her type of music, she admired how real the virtual U2 felt in SL. She hopes that more tribute bands be formed in the near future and SL become more popular as a social network.

Keiji MITSUBUCHI
Professor, Digital Hollywood University (Tokyo, Japan) |
Keiji Mitsubuchi is Professor of Digital Contents Research at Tokyo's Digital Hollywood Graduate School, and the Director of the Japanese Metaverse Association. Keiji came to class in Temple to give the best possible tutorial session on how to get started with Second-Life. He also advised some of the students projects.

Paul COHEN aka Komuso TOKUGAWA

Paul is the Tokyo-based brain behind the SL BluesBorg Komuso Tokugawa.
Paul came to class in Temple to talk about his musical career in SL, advise student projects and ended up being the subject of one poster in our exhibition. Paul also played live for us from Second-Life in the exhibition (see Exhibition section). More on Paul's website .

Scott LOCKMAN
Instructor, Temple University, Japan Campus (Tokyo, Japan) |
Scott Lockman teaches the radio practicum class at TUJC. He assisted students in Second Life basics. He's helping to coordinate the proposed implementation of TUJC's edu island sim in the latter half of 2009.

Shintaro helped us with the design and planning of the exhibition, and spend long hours onsite setting everything up. Shintaro and JJ have also collaborated on the Sound/Mindscapes project (Nov. 2008).
